Alright, so we're pretty much settled in! Actually, we are settled in. Our new place is huge, if I haven't mentioned that yet. I have plenty of room to flail and dance like an idiot. Which I have been, don't you worry.
All my job hunting paid off, I am now a member of the Laser Quest team! That's right, I'm working for another laser tag dealie. I'm still going to look for something else, I don't want to give up on the Film Industry, all my schooling would have been for nothing then. But Laser Quest is something to pay the bills with until I find something bigger.
I can't remember if I mentioned the Beer Bistro. I should probably look back at my previous posts. Anyway, Mel's rating; Food=great! Choice of Wine/Beer=Excellent! Atmosphere=Great! Alex tried samples of 9 or so different kinds of beer, he was pretty happy about that. He's been recommending it to all his friends. I won't mind going again. :P
Made my first batch of blondies a week or so ago. They were tasty. So tasty I had to hide them from us.
We sat down this weekend and watched ALL of Trigun! It was awesome. I never got a chance to finish the series.
Also, Gerard and his family invited us out to Acton for dinner. It was a weekend full of food. I thought I would never have to eat again. It was good to be around other people. I learned the basics of Cribbage, mom will be happy. Dustin beat me all three times though. I may need to invest in a Cribbage board so I can keep my skills up. Mind you, I was little inebriated at the time I was playing.
Nothing tremendously exciting to report. Mississauga is windy, but the weather is nice.
Oh, Alex plans to bike to Waterloo this weekend. Leave on Friday around 3pm, arrive in Waterloo around 10pm, stay there till Sunday, and bike home if he's alive. I think he's insane. I'll wave at him from the bus as we drive passed him, if I'm not working.
Alright, I think that's it for now! I should probably go get something started for dinner, but I have no idea what to make.
Love & Peace!

Day 3 in Mississauga!
We arrived alive late Saturday night! The basement apartment Alex and I are calling home is rather spacious. We're pretty excited. It's a bit cold though, and the tile flooring isn't all that nice to walk on. But it'll be nice in the summer!
The following day, I was woken up early by the loud stomping of Sammy, Anya, and Ramsay the kids who live above us, and their parents Magdie and Lisa pleading with them to settle down. Aside from the rambunctious mornings, they're a nice family. Sunday was spent driving around with Brian and Donna (Alex's parents) picking up groceries and a few other neccessities.
Monday! Alex's first day on the job. It was boring, so he tells me. They didn't have a password set up for him yet, so all he did was read documentation all day long. Funny thing was when he got to RIM, they asked him if he was supposed to be in Waterloo. (They had sent a bunch of first time co-ops to orientation in Waterloo earlier that morning) The people at RIM eventually figured out where he's supposed to be.
Donna, Brian and I spent the day finding a table, chairs and cushions for the apartment so it looks less bare. We found a nice pine coffee table, and some wicker-esque chairs to go with it. Good finds.
We had a great dinner once Alex arrived home around 5:30, prepared by Brian and Donna. I don't think we'll be eating quite as well now that they're gone, but it'll be healthy nonetheless.
Currently, I'm at the library as we don't have internet access just yet. (I'm looking into that today) I got lost trying to find my way here, but that's expected. I printed off a bunch of resumes, but I screwed them up somehow and my name according to the 8 copies I made is MelissMelissa. Damn, time to add more money to the card, then it's time to go job hunting.

Whoo!
Wow, this year went by FAST! It really makes me wonder where all the time went (rendering probably) It seems like only yesterday that I was hugging everyone "Hi" back in September.
Alex, his parents, and I are hitting the road at 4am on May 2nd.I'm contemplating staying up till it's time to go. Still have a bit of stuff to pack up. I'm glad I'll get to sleep in the van. No driving for me!
FYI, we may not have internet for a little while. Alex wasn't too sure if we would have it right away or not, but it appears not.
I'm missing Thunder Bay already, and of course all of it's lovely people!
I won't promise that this will be updated on a regular schedule. I might forget about it for a little while here and there.
I'm sorry if this is really uninformative, but I've been awake since 6am, and had a really emotional day. I didn't know saying "goodbye" to everyone would be that hard. It'll probably hit me harder tomorrow.
Mom's having a hard time with me leaving, but I'm pretty sure she knows that Alex and I will take care of each other. We're in for quite the adventure, that's for certain! I'm looking forward to our time together. The Mississauga experience will be good for both of us.
Take care everyone! I'll miss you! See you in December!
